What will the weather be like? If you have not been to Florida before, the temperature can be described as very warm in winter and very hot in summer. To help a brief weather guide is provided for your information. Spring (March to May) High temperatures in the upper 80's during the day and cooler in the evenings. Lows possible in the 50's. Lots of sunshine but showers are common. Swim wear , shorts and light clothing are ideal for the daytime, sweaters should be packed for the evening when it can be a little cooler. Summer (June to September) Daily temperatures are in the 90's with strong sunshine, the average is usually in the 70's. Later afternoon thunderstorms, usually last only an hour. Visit attractions early to avoid midday heat. Return in the evenings to enjoy extended summer hours and night time shows. Light clothing and sensible footwear. Autumn (October to mid December) Ideal weather for most activities temperatures in the 80's and lows around 60's. There is plenty of sunshine with some thunderstorms. Swim wear and light clothing is ideal for the daytime but light jacket or sweater may be required in the evening. Winter (mid December to February) The temperatures are cooler, especially between late December through to January. 70's average high, evening lows around 55's. Swim wear and light clothing is still ideal for warm afternoons but warmer clothing or a jacket may be required for the cooler evenings.
